SlideShare was founded back in 2006 with a simple goal of sharing knowledge online. One can choose a template as well. The feature has great virality potential as a user is most likely to get one for himself or herself once they see a visualiztion. It's also a good example of how a single action is proving to be win-win for both the companies: SlideShare gets more user generated content, LinkedIn's data becomes richer and the user gets something worth sharing. It also opens up a possibility of positioning this as a easy way to beautify your resume.
