Labour All - Bangalore lawyer develops software for labour law compliance
Labour laws have undergone a sea change in the past decade, be it amendments or new statutes coming into force. Hence a thorough understanding of the various labour laws is very essential in order to be compliant to the maximum extent possible. The software begins by triggering a series of questions and produces a report based on the answers given by the user. The report thus generated gives each user a customised plan of action to ensure complete compliance. To put in this entire mechanism into place and render the text into a software interface, Kartel Innovations has rendered its expertise and has developed this unique product.
Simplifying the process of legal compliance also saves time. Legal and human resource departments in establishments need not spend time on reading and interpreting the Acts, and can spend their time more productively in implementing welfare measures for their labour workforce.
According to PTI, the site was recently inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ram Mohan Reddy, Judge, High Court of Karnataka; and Dr. D.S. Vishwanath, Commissioner for Labour. I.A.S. Authorities from the Provident Fund department, ESIC and the Department of Factories were also present.
Speaking at the inauguration Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ram Mohan Reddy said, “These 69 labour laws are not simple laws. They are serious subjects as they deal with human beings. There was a requirement for this kind of software. This is an FAQs kind of software which I always had in my mind.”
“This software developed by Sribhoomi will help every industry ask their simple questions and get simple answers. It will also help lawyers practising on the labour side in saving time,” he added. “The High Court of Karnataka is the only court in the country with WiFi facility. We are now going digital where you can file petitions from home. I envisage a day when lawyers will sit in their chambers and argue their cases through video conferencing.”
