Arkin Net, the startup which is building the industry’s first multi-vendor SDN operations platform to change how enterprises operate their software-defined data centers, has raised $15 million Series B investment from Nexus Venture Partners, key strategic investors and industry veterans, including B.V. Jagadeesh (formerly CEO at NetScaler).

Arkin ties together the data center silos across virtual and physical platforms. Some of the largest enterprises have deployed Arkin to simplify their operations and unlock significant cost savings and agility.

Arkin has assembled a world-class team of engineers and architects from diverse backgrounds, including virtualization, networking, enterprise software, cloud scale social platforms and consumer design. Arkin founders are considered veterans in building enterprise-grade, industry-leading solutions.

In November last year, the Pune-based company had come out of stealth mode after securing $7 million in funding, led by Nexus Venture Partners.

The company’s advisory board consists of industry luminaries, including Alan Cohen (CCO at Illumio and formerly VP Marketing at Nicira), Dheeraj Pandey (Founder and CEO, Nutanix) and Denis Murphy (VP Sales, Nimble Storage).

“Arkin is unlocking the true potential of software-defined data centers by bringing in data-driven visibility, cross-domain analytics, and power of collaboration that was largely unknown to the 'siloed' world of IT operations. We are thrilled to have partnered with the Arkin team right from inception and look forward to helping them build a category leading company,” said Jishnu Bhattacharjee, Nexus Venture Partners and Board Member of Arkin.

The brainchild of IIT alumni -- Shiv Agarwal, Mukul Gupta, Rohit Toshniwal and Abhijit Sharma -- Arkin delivers instant and comprehensive search across entire data center (virtual and physical) for operational visibility, rapid troubleshooting and consistent security.

It’s designed and built  for radical simplification of data center operations. With Google Search-like simplicity and consumer-class collaboration, Arkin delivers seamless operations for converged infrastructures and software-defined data centers built using technologies such as VMware NSX, Cisco UCS, VCE Vblocks, Palo Alto Networks firewalls and others.

“Organizations now are forced to rethink their operations strategy. Based on a modern collaborative approach, the Arkin platform ties together the data center silos across virtual and physical. Some of the largest enterprises have deployed Arkin to simplify their operations and unlock significant cost savings and agility,” said Shiv Agarwal, CEO and Co-founder of Arkin.
