Similarly, aspects relating to setting up skill development and incubation centers rehabilitation of sick units strengthening of MSME Government support agencies and facilitating marketing support to MSME units.

The recognition and encouragement to MSME units will bring in healthy competition and promote adoption of best practices across the sector, felt the participants. Commissioner Industries, Abhay Kumar and Additional Commissioner, Industries, L C Jain provided their own inputs and discussed the stakeholders' comments on various aspects of the MSME Policy 2015 draft. The participating stakeholders included members of associations like Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry PHD Chamber of Commerce Laghu Udyog Bharati and Bikaner Zila Udyog Sangh.

Industry representatives from Autolite India Private Ltd and Everest Industries Ltd were also present during the meeting. It is to be noted that the State Government has recognised MSME as a thrust sector under its Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2014 (RIPS) last year. Looking at the importance of this sector, an MSME Convention has also been scheduled during Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit, to be held in Jaipur on 19-20 November this year. The policy will give a further fillip to this vital sector in the State.
