Now, Reliance Jio users can suspend their own SIM cards using this feature

Reliance Jio customers have further reason to rejoice. Through a new feature, Jio now lets you suspend your SIM cards for a specific period of time

It looks like Mukesh Ambani has taken a secret pledge to surprise his customers. Leading telecom brand Reliance Jio has now pushed the envelope even further by launching a feature that lets users suspend their own SIM cards in cases where they lose their phones or Jio SIMs.

The feature, which is available on the company’s official website, allows users to apply this feature for a certain period of time.

When on the website, Jio users can log in to their Jio account, where they can find the ‘suspend’ and ‘resume’ options. The options are further classified into SIM Damaged and SIM/Device lost. This further leads to immediate suspension of the SIM card. On the other hand, the resume option is enabled after the mobile number is suspended. Through use of this, the services can be resumed instantly.

The service will soon be introduced for the ‘MyJio’ mobile app users. As of now, Reliance Jio is the only operator offering this feature to its users.

Prior to this, the telecom brand had announced their Jio Prime services for users who have joined the Jio network before March 31, 2017. The 4G entrant also introduced a ‘buy one get one free’ offer for Jio Prime users, under which recharges worth Rs 303, Rs 499 and above, before March 31, 2017, will be entitled to additional benefits.

Customers recharging worth Rs 303 will receive an additional 5GB of free data, worth Rs 201. For Rs 499 and above, customers will receive a free add-on of Rs 301, which allows access to 10 GB of free data. The benefit of the free add-on will be given automatically by Jio.

The telecom brand, which recently hit 100 million users, will start charging for services from April 1, 2017.
