Prabhakar initially came to Mumbai with a dream to make it big in the Indian film industry. However, he did not find any success despite numerous efforts. He then decided to go to the Latin American country Costa Rica, in search of work. There, he fell in love with a Costa Rican girl and married her.

After repeated attempts at various business ventures, Prabhakar hit rock-bottom in 2010, both in his professional and personal life. He returned to India, while his wife decided to separate and stayed back in Costa Rica with their daughter.

In the year 2014, Prabhakar returned to Costa Rica with a resolve to make a Bollywood-style film in the country. Then came the day when Prabhakar’s name appeared as a debutante in the Spanish movie Enredados: La Confusion (Entangled: The Confusion). It became a box office success, and was declared one of the most popular films of 2017 across the country.

According to the Outlook, it was with the help of educationist and philanthropist Teresa Rodriguez Cerdas that Prabhakar could fulfil this dream. He said,

She took my dream as her own and helped me generate a sum of $1.5 million for the movie.

Prabhakar’s debut movie is said to be the first Latin American film which has been made in the quintessential Bollywood manner with the typical dance and song routine.

The female lead has been played by a renowned television host in Costa Rica, Nancy Dobles. Hollywood actor and ex-world wrestling champion Scott Steiner, starred as the second male protagonist.

It was Ashish Mohan, director of Khiladi 786, who started directing Enredados: La Confusion. However, due to mutual differences, Ashish and Prabhakar parted ways and the latter continued with the its direction.

Released in February last year, Enredados: La Confusion was distributed by Cinepolis. Looking at the movie’s success, the distributors have decided to release it in other Latin American countries as well, including the US.

Prabhakar personally wishes to release his movie in other languages such as English, Hindi and Bhojpuri with the name Ek Chor, Do Mastikhor in March or April this year. According to the Hindustan Times, he said in an interview,

It is a film that bonds the two communities (Indians and Latins) together.
