YES BANK selects 30 Scholars from B-school and Tech Institutes for the 4th edition of YES FUTURE READY scholarship programme

In an ongoing endeavor to nurture future business leaders and empower them, YES BANK, India’s fourth largest private sector bank, set up an annual scholarship program, YES FUTURE READY, for students from select business schools and engineering colleges in India. The initiative, in its fourth year now, seeks to identify deserving students and nurture qualities such as design-thinking, innovation, and a creative entrepreneurial mindset, in addition to giving them a financial award of Rs 2 lakh each.
As part of this programme, a ceremony was recently organised in Mumbai where 30 meritorious students from across 22 select leading business schools and engineering colleges in India were felicitated.
The 30 YES FUTURE READY scholars were chosen following a stringent evaluation process. The criteria for selection included academic achievements as well as co-curricular activities and personality skills. The candidates were also judged on their cognitive abilities and situational judgment skills. Senior leaders of YES BANK conducted interviews with the candidates.
A wealth of opportunities
Each of the 30 students received a YES FUTURE READY trophy along with the monetary award. In addition to the scholarship, the candidates will also be eligible to get year-long mentorship from YES BANK’s top management, pre-placement interview offers, access to ‘’Future Ready’ courses on Coursera and an opportunity to work on emerging-tech based live projects in collaboration with the bank.
This year, the fourth edition of the scholarship programme saw 3,000 applicants from reputed institutes like IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Kolkata, IIM-Shillong & IIM-Indore, XLRI, and IIT-Bombay, Delhi and Madras, BITS Pilani, MDI, NITIE, among others.

Opportunity to network with successful entrepreneurs
The felicitation ceremony for the YES FUTURE READY scholars of 2018 was held at the Indian School of Design and Entrepreneurship in Mumbai.
On the occasion, the audience had the opportunity to witness an interesting fireside chat between new age startup entrepreneurs like Priya Sharma -- Founder, Zest Money, Mayank Kumar -- Founder & CEO, UpGrad and Vinay Mathews -- Founder, Faircent. The scholars were also part of exclusive networking dinner with the successful startup entrepreneurs, following the felicitation ceremony.
