This Bhai Dooj, Delhi state-run transportation DTC offers free rides to women

Women can avail free rides on either non-air-conditioned or air-conditioned DTC buses between 8 am and 10 pm today.

On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, women in Delhi-NCR can avail free rides on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses between 8 am and 10 pm today. It has been offering free rides every year on this occasion.

As per an official, the rides can be availed in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses. But, children accompanying women will be charged, reports The Quint.

The corporation released a statement that said,

"It has also made sufficient arrangements to manage the rush of passengers on the day. With the initiative of Delhi Government, DTC has decided to allow free travelling of lady commuters in DTC's city and NCR buses on the occasion of Bhai-Dooj festival on November 9.
