On a 15-acre campus in the heart of Bangalore’s technology hub, Whitefield, six startups are fine-tuning their product under the guidance of one of the world’s leading authorities on cloud computing and data storage.

The startups are part of the 3^rd cohort of the four-month-long NetApp Excellerator programme, the company’s flagship accelerator, designed to help B2B technology startups achieve their full potential through mentorship with NetApp’s R&D teams and by providing access to technology & ecosystem partners.

The accelerator programme provides the startups access to collaboration and productivity tools, co-working space in Bangalore as well as networking opportunities with potential investors, partners, and customers. The startups will also have access to NetApp platforms and technologies, tools, HR, marketing, legal and tech support. As part of the NetApp Excellerator, globally acclaimed mentors and in-house technology experts work together to create custom programmes to suit the needs of each of the startups in the cohort. NetApp will provide an equity free grant of $15,000 to each of the selected startups upon completion of the programme.

An award-winning accelerator programme

In the past, NetApp has offered participants an opportunity to engage in strategic alliances with the company. With two successful cohorts, 12 startups have so far graduated from the programme and six startups from its third cohort, CloudOptimo, FirstHive, InstaSafe, Praktice.ai, Uber Diagnostics, and ZScore Technologies, are now set to graduate in January 2019. Alumni include Scalend, BlobCity, SigTuple, Nanobi, who are now NetApp Strategic Alliance partners.

As a testimony to the programme’s success, NetApp Excellerator received the Best Corporate Startup Accelerator Program Award at the Zinnov Confluence 2018 event in June 2018.
