Google, Amazon announce the launch of YouTube Apps on FireTv and Prime Video on Chromecast
Amazon and Google have announced they will soon be launching the official YouTube applications on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and the Prime Video application will be available on Chromecast and Chromecast built-in-devices. Additionally, Prime Video will be available across Android TV device partners. Further, YouTube TV and YouTube Kids apps will be launched later this year, a release said.
From binge watching the latest season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to enjoying a day-in marveling at the Academy Award-nominated The Big Sick and Cold War, Amazon said it is here to provide its viewers a seamless access to the world of entertainment.

Users will be able to sign in to their existing YouTube account to access their library of content and play videos on the supported devices.
Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices, besides Android TV users will have access to Prime Video catalogue. Users can also rent or purchase titles from channels including HBO, Showtime, CBS All-Access, Cinemax and STARZ.
