Founded in 1987, Highflow was originally named Om Engineering Works and was founded by Om Prakash Jaiswal. At that time, the company was manufacturing battery hard rubber containers and lead acid battery plates and supplied to every battery manufacturer in India. In the year 2000 the company started making own lead acid batteries. In 2005 company started smelting of used lead acid batteries. It was only in the year 2014 that the company decided to rebrand themselves as Highflow. Today, the company has three verticals namely Highflow Lead & Lead Base Alloys, Highflow Lead Acid Batteries, and Highflow Solar Products.
