Founded in 1996, REC Group is an international pioneering solar energy company dedicated to empowering consumers with clean, affordable solar power. REC is headquartered in Norway and has its operational headquarters (HQs) in Singapore and regional hubs in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Asia Pacific. The 25-year-old company has three manufacturing facilities – two in Norway for making solar-grade raw polycrystalline silicon, commonly referred to as polysilicon, another in Singapore making photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules. REC is the only company globally that has commercialised tech, which consumes 75 per cent less power than Chinese competitors. REC employs staff in virtually every professional function, including technology, production, administration, supply chain and logistics, and sales and marketing, among others.
