Chennai-based startup Roboho is building a robotic arm that can perform beauty treatments autonomously without human input. One just has to select a treatment from a touch screen, sit back and relax while the robotic arm performs the treatment. The technology used behind the beauty arm is reinforcement learning and deep learning along with 3D computer vision. BeautyArm is able to perform facials and other skin clinic treatments without manpower in a very accurate fashion by 3D-mapping the face and then choosing a custom tool at the end of its arm for performing a particular treatment. The robot comes with advanced safety features and uses gentle-force that cannot harm the user.
