As an eco-friendly substitute and a better alternative to the commonly used materials like plywood, gypsum and fibre cement boards, Strawcture uses agri-fiber panels as the building block for their structures. Their panels are made by compressing the renewable agri-fibres, which work in conjunction with a steel framework to give birth to structures which epitomise sustainability. The startup is incubated at Atal Incubation Center, Banasthali Vidyapeeth and IIM Bangalore Women Startup Programme has provided them with mentorship. The startup is a for-profit enterprise; the revenue model is the profit margin based on the construction cost. The startup claims that their products can be used in spaces like educational institutions, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, social infrastructure, and healthcare centres.
