6 Reasons why you should never follow other's passion even if it earns you million
Do you find that your neighbor, or your friend or any of your relative is doing much better than you by just doing what they love.
You might find that they are getting success after success because what they love to do is fairly easier than your head-scratching work.
So you try to follow them, their work and passion because you are not doing well with your career and you think that you will easily get success while doing that and afterward you'll make millions.
But you are wrong my friend. Yes, it is true that if you try to follow them then you can get success initially but that will be not worth in the long run. Yes, it may also earn you millions of dollar.
But remember that when you value money over your overall health and your passion, you will find yourself in an endless cycle of misery.
So here I am going to tell you 7 reasons why you should never follow other's passion?
1. No Guarantee Of Success
Yes, that is right and obvious and it is pretty sure that by following other's passion you are risking your career. As there's no guarantee of success even after working so hard, giving it a whole lot of time and following a serious routine for it.
You may give it much more time than any other necessary things but since you are not enjoying while doing it, and that too doing it out of passion then there's a lot more chance that you will be annoyed by your work if you initially didn't see any positive results.
And if you can not love your work from the heart then it will be difficult for you to achieve success.
2. Less Productive
You wake up every morning and try to be 100% productive in your work so you start rushing for the things you want to get done. You skip breakfast and when you do that you feel tired, apathetic, and even a little irritable.
Apart from this, since you are doing something you don't like so you need to work more hours than average time it should be given and than others who really are passionate about it.
Not only in this thing, you will not be productive in any other works too. And if this happens then I think that it will be a major drawback for your overall career.
3. Depression and Anxiety
You are working for months on it. You checked your progress you did not find it worthy to your hard work. You kept your patience and then worked harder than before.
After a while you again checked your graph but this time too you didn't find it worthy to your hard work. So it continues for a while then you started feeling depressed about it.
And depression causes sadness, make you feel low, there's a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities.
This is not the case when you follow your passion because even if you are not getting positive results you never feel annoyed. You can be patient, you can digest a short time failure as you believe deep inside in your heart that you will succeed in it.
But when you do something that is not made for you, that you are not passionate about then you yourself does not pretty sure about even your success, you start fearing. So why to try to be master in something else, just for money.
If you think that making money is everything in this world then you need to know this that 3 out of 5 CEO's of top companies suffer from depression. So money should never be the reason for doing something, or for making career.
4. Frustration and Irritation
Frustration arises from the perceived resistance to the fulfillment of an individual's will or goal and is likely to increase when a will or goal is denied or blocked
So when you are not getting the desired result, you get upset or annoyed as a result of being unable to change or achieve something. So in such a case frustration and irritation is common.
Frustration has also many negative impacts on our lives. It weakens our relations, we constantly feel irritated, and anger over little things.
So for this reason too we should avoid doing something that we don't like or something that we know is difficult but we think that it will produce money.
5. You will never be satisfied even at the top of success
Yes right. You will never enjoy it even after reaching the pinnacle of success. You might feel good in the starting but as you age, you will realize that money was not all that matters. Money can not buy you happiness.
It might be too late to realize that the numbers in your bank balance is not worth to life which you have left behind, which has passed away and which you can never bring back even in exchange of millions of dollars in your account.
You will know that the fulfillment of soul was more important than anything else in this life. This soul fulfillment can only be achieved by doing things that gives pleasure to you, that soothes your soul.
You get life only once so better try to make the most out of it. Don't set your limits. Don't surround yourself by the walls made by yourself.
6. You will waste 80% of your Life
On an approx the working careers consume 80% of our total life span. So why to spend it in making yourself a machine, whose products(money) are only luxurious but not satisfactory in a long run.
As said by Steve Jobs-
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of your heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
So better to avoid doing something in which you don't get pleasure at all. And try to follow your heart. They better know what you want. And they will take you to the best place and to where you really belong.
I hope you have found some better reasons that why you should not follow other's passion at all.
