Dr Swati Gupta
Lady who has epitomized Hindi Poetesses!
I did my schooling in a city of UP. I was very studious and always be on the top 3 positions in school and college. I learned a lot from my teachers and was always their favorite. I did my graduation and post-graduation in Economics. I did B.Ed. and post that Ph.D. in Economics and MBA in finance. I am also holder of NCC ‘B’ and ’C’ certificate and attended lot of NCC camps during my college days. From my childhood, my dream was to be a successful lecturer. After my college, I joined a Post Graduate college as an Economics lecturer and starts working there.
I worked there for couple of years till I got married. After marriage, we shifted to a different city as my husband works in an IT company. After some time, we had a baby. As my baby was small so I couldn’t dare to join college again in different city, so I decided to wait sometimes and give a break to my job and to take good care of my kids.
When my kids grown up to the age of 3-4 years, I joined Post Graduate college as an economic lecturer in Bangalore. I continued this job for some time but I found it very difficult to manage my kids and job together because kids are on my priority. So I decided to quit the job and wanted to do something from home.
I keep trying different thing. I learned Yoga and when I realized benefits of this then I started free Yoga classes which gave lot of health benefits to the young and elderly participants. Started Tabla and Keyboard classes that I learnt during my schooling days. I have also started writing a book on Economics. I keep on doing things to give back society in some form.
One day I was jotting down some poem that came into my mind, all of sudden my husband looked at it, he becomes very much impressed by that poem and then he suggested me to start writing poems formally. He was at that time was source of inspiration for me to start writing and posting Hindi poems on various platforms.
Today I have crossed a milestones of writing more than 200 poems on various subjects like social, cultural, romance, festivals, etc. and my name is added as a good Poetess in HindiSahitya.org. I am getting daily lots of appreciation mails of my poems.
