Parikshit Dar and Rajesh Balpande studied at Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. While Rajesh was an investment banker with the Chatterjee Group earlier, Parikshit began his career working with the Dutch Multinational retailer SPAR. All the three of them got to meet each other during their stint at Sydenham.
However, they conceived the idea of setting up BookMyShow when they went to South Africa on a vacation together.
