How to get the most out of your internship

I'm sharing with you the story of my best internship so far

Almost everyone who has been looking for a job is familiar with the struggle of getting a good position relevant to their studies. One of the benefits of the Danish educational system is that it provides you with the opportunity to study not in the usual theoretical way but more practice-oriented. In the so-called academies, the higher education is divided into two parts - Academy Professional (AP) and Top-Up bachelor degree. In both, the students are obligated to have at least ten weeks of internship.

So, here I am, at the end of my second internship. I'd like to share with you the best experience I've had from a working environment.

I am working for a company called AW Media where the people are just too cool to be real. It is one big hardworking family of many different nationalities. The atmosphere here is friendly and non-stressing and the relationships between interns, employees, and bosses seem like they will be for life.

But enough bragging about how wonderful the people are. What I'd like to emphasise on is the system they've created to teach interns (and employees sometimes). It's not the ordinary working day where you sit on your computer researching. It's a handful of remarkable meetings, funny game Fridays, and after-work experiences.

By the end of my 12th week here, I can gladly say that I've learned more than I've ever expected and I've created friendships which is the biggest gift of all.

My advice for everyone who is going to be an intern is to let themselves experience every single step of the process, not be afraid to ask and be open to other's opinions.

Thank you.
