1) Google. Famous for its creativity-inducing workspaces, Google offices all across the globe – including Indian locations – are known to have introduced innovative work culture. Who would’ve thought that allowing pets to work can help relieve the pet-care stress and the employees can focus better at work! The latest one in their list is nap zones; employees can take their ‘snooze breaks' or ‘nap time’ during work hours if and when they need to. The management and the psychoanalysts say that regular breaks and freedom to nap actually boosts their idea flow. Maybe that's why such breaks are called power naps!

2) Talentica, Pune. This innovative outsourced product development company that helps the startups build their own products was recently termed as "India's best company to work for" in 2016. Apart from firmly believing that happy employees are key to company success, one "wow" thing they do is welcoming new joinees with a flash mob. Their HR says that a five-minute performance after a 2-hour practice charges the new employees leaving them wanting to perform well. Talentica stands by its motto to: “Build the coolest product, using the coolest technologies, with the coolest people”.

If you own offices with such creative culture and learn all about marketing them.

3) Heldergroen, Amsterdam. This design studio has its workstations suspended from the ceiling. The moment the office hours end, i.e., at 6 pm, the workstations are retracted leaving an empty span of office space. The workstations include all desks, tables, and other work surfaces along with their computers are hauled up to the ceiling using cables. These cables are strong steel cables which are normally used in theaters to move around heavy props. Since it is automated, your half-eaten apple, personal water bottle, or even the coffee mug will be pulled up too! Besides instilling enthusiasm, this helps avoid procrastination, thus increasing productivity.

The cleared space is then free to be used for a recreational evening – dance floor, yoga studio, theater, etc.

4) TBWA, NYC. The organization culture in this ad agency deliberates impromptu interactions and collaborations. Designed by Italian artist and architect Gaetano Pesce, the office is outdoors-inspired with a huge span of wild and open floor plan which includes a full basketball court, big-screen TV and actual trees inside the building. The company strictly allocates no desks which mean employees sit in different places every day. This provides a perfect interactive ambience needed for a successful ad firm.

5) Twitter, San Francisco. The HQ ensures friendly coworkers, team-oriented environment, health awareness by organizing yoga classes, and fun roof-top meetings. But what stands out are the irresistible but merit-based perks like free meals and unlimited vacations!

6) Adobe. Known for its out-of-the-box thinking and products that are synonymous with creativity, Adobe conscientiously follows the culture of avoiding “micro-managing”. It a perfect example of letting employees be and trusting their talent and diligence. As a result, Adobe doesn't use ratings to establish employee capabilities. They feel that rating system hampers creativity and workflow. Instead, employees discuss their performances with their managers (aka coach) and together they strategize a plan to work towards the set goal.
