Any One Can do Any Thing

Starting as a civil engineer, finishing MBA from Marketing, landed a job in Freshdesk  to Author of Romantic Novel Conversations with Chaos, today we have with us Javeeth Ahamed an engineer from his mind but Author from his Heart.

Q. Javeeth please let us know little bit about yourself.

I am Javeeth, 29 years old, just released my debut novel after a long run with writing stories on blogs and unpublished posts on MS Word. I'm also one of the founders of The Goa Project and worked as an Assistant Director. Apart from this I work at Freshdesk.

 Q. Where did your love of books/writing/reading/etc. come from?

When I grew up I had a huge shelf of books. My uncle purchased this book rack, which came pre-loaded with books from my friends. I loved reading and nothing could stop me. Drowning into these books and sleeping with them on my face unknowingly just wasn’t enough. I knew there was more. I felt like a caterpillar that knew this isn’t how it should be, for the end had something more. I wrote my first story with a pencil made by Staedtler — that magnificent yellow and black striped one and there after I always wanted to write.

Q. What cultural value do you see in writing/reading/etc.?

The best of writing is that you can know different cultures, different kinds of people, cities, the food you eat by just turning pages and somebody else telling you. Its fascinating!

Q. What were your goals and intentions in this book, and how well do you feel you achieved them?

The goal was simple. I wanted to tell stories and this is the first of the many more I hope to write. Its a start and I am happy with it but not content because there sure is scope for improvement and I want to get better.

Q. Can you share some stories about people you met while researching this book?

I didnt go in search of people. As a character trait in me, I love talking to people and meeting various kinds during travelling or even in coffee shops. I love hearing stories from them. I wouldnt share the stories because I think they tell it to me because they trust me even if I met them only once but people amaze me!

Q. What do you think most characterizes your writing?

Conversations between characters. The dialogues they say they talk although are casual have some hard hitting lines pertaining to our lives.

Q. What was the hardest part of writing this book?

The editing!

Q. What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

The whole process. From the conceptualisation to putting the final full stop. The satisfaction of reading your thoughts into words is wonderful!

Q. What do you think writing a book is easy and anyone can write ?

I don't think it's easy and not everyone can write. But then how would we know until we try! So, anyone who's gotten even a book out and maybe hasn't sold more than 10 copies deserves a lot of appreciation because I know how difficult it is to put yourself out there.

Q. Since you are working in one of India most emerging startup I personally thought you will write

something about entrepreneurship. Can I expect something on entrepreneurship also ?

Maybe! I dont have a story with an entrepreneurship angle but being an entrepreneur is difficult and hey, today start up's are the most romantic things in business! so who know ?

Q. What could be your suggestions for all who want to be writer ?

Write. Write and write. The more you write the better you become and I tell this to myself everyday too.
