ICEA partners with BAC to promote Make in India for medical electronics
The India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), India’s industry body representing electronics sector, is working with Bay Area Council (BAC) to establish India as the global manufacturing hub in the medical electronics sector and other electronics verticals. ICEA and Minister for IT and Electronics recently visited the US, West Coast.
“ICEA is envisioned and committed for replication of success stories in the entire electronics sector starting with medical electronics and other verticals such as consumer electronics, IoT, and emerging technologies, etc,” said Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA, according to media reports.
The ICEA has championed the cause for promotion of the Indian manufacturing ecosystem related to mobile handsets and other electronics verticals in the past through successfully organising outreach initiatives in prominent ESDM destinations such as China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Germany among others.
ICEA in partnership with the Bay Area Council (BAC), which is the biggest conglomeration of major Silicon Valley-based ESDM majors under its membership fold, had organised a workshop on August 28 in Menlo Park, Bay Area which was focused on the promotion of manufacturing related to medical electronics.
