Who doesn’t like an over-the-top, all-white Christmas tree right in the middle of their living room? Or a ridiculously gorgeous wreath adorning the pretty door to the place we all call ‘home’. Or for that matter, strings of fairy lights lightening up every nook and corner; a dish of glitter a dash of sparkle, everything that together ushers in the festive cheer?

The truth is we all live for this time of the year, when Christmas is in the air and the holiday spirits have taken over. And by ‘all’, I mean the people from the tinsel town as well. The holidays, after all, are just the perfect time for celebrities – from both Bollywood and Hollywood – to go a tad bit extra and experiment with stunning, extravagant, and picture-perfect decorations.

From the usual suspects, the Jenners and the Kardashians of the world, to those closer to home, here’s a look inside some of the most impressive celebrity homes and their elaborate Christmas decors for this year.

Celebrity Christmas decor

Khloe Kardashian

Okurr! We see you Khloe!!!

Fan-favourite and one of the most fashionable members of the Kardashian family, Khloe Kardashian is known for taking glam to another level. In fact, extra could very well be her middle name, whether it is the way she dresses or rolls okurr off her tongue in response to anything and everything. And this vibrancy is reflected in the new mom’s choice of Christmas décor as well.

Instead of opting for the usual X-Mas tree, the reality star went for a pop of pink, complemented with various hues of the same shade.

“Merry Christmas everyone!! We starting decorating our house yesterday and @jeffleatham surprised True with this beautiful pink tree. It’s safe to say that True loves it!!! Thankful and blessed beyond words!” she shared alongside a picture of her décor on social media.

Jeff Leatham

Jeff Leatham, who is the famed artistic director of The Four Season Hotel George V in Paris, showed off some of his artistic skills on his Instagram page as well. He shared pictures of a completely blinged-up Christmas décor from the Four Season European hotel – known to be the only one in Europe housing 3 Michelin-starred restaurants – where gold was clearly the underlining theme, in a truly-ostentatious style.

Jeff also showcased pictures of his own installation at Khloe Kardashian’s festive-ready home.

Kylie Jenner

It takes a certain flair and charisma to work your way to the top. And Kylie Jenner, who was named as the youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes magazine this year, certainly has no dearth of elegance and style.

Ushering in Christmas early, the lip-kit maven went all out this year, installing a gigantic life-size Christmas tree right in the middle of her gorgeous house. To add a personal touch to her impressive decor, however, the reality star decorated the tree with the same ornaments that her mother, Kris Jenner used when she was a child.

Amanda Holden

“All I want for Christmas... is a fabulous front door!!”

British TV personality and host of popular reality series, Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda Holden seems to have skipped the interiors this year, channeling all her creative energy with a lavishly decorated front door. Her red-green-white, vine-like wreath, which arched over her front door, cut a cozy, country style in an image she shared on Instagram. Just how Christmas should be – homely and cozy.

“Thank you @earlyhoursltd for the stunning display!🎄it’s beginning to look fabulously like #christmas,” Holden shared alongside the picture.

Hugh Jackman

The Wolverine can do no wrong. Even if it means that he just posed adorably with his furry little friend for what looks like a festive photo op.

Aussie star Hugh Jackman sent a million hearts into a meltdown as he shared the cutest image against a Christmassy background replete with white snowflake ornaments. And as if the image was not enough, he added a dash of warmth in the caption, writing, “Cause we need a little Christmas right this very minute! #Allegra (sic).”

Mindy Kaling with Malala Yousafzai

You know what completes a fabulous, festive-ready frame? A special guest of honour. And Mindy Kaling, the American comedian born to Indian parents and the star of Late Night and The Mindy Project, had both for her pre-Christmas celebration this year.

The 40-year-old actor hosted none other than Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani activist for female education, for a special lunch at her place, which to say the least, was in every sense a scene out of some Hallmark movie. The duo even posed for an adorable click, which Mindy shared online, thanking her young guest for the visit.

“I was honored to have my friend @malala over for lunch today and catch up while she was in town, Mindy wrote adding, “@malalafund is fighting for a world where all girls can learn and lead. To learn more how you can help, visit mala.la/nothingmore.”

Taylor Swift

“Happy birthday but make it Santa.”

It’s a special year for Taylor Swift this year, as the Lover hitmaker is not only celebrating her multiple wins at the American Music Awards, held earlier this year, but also the impending holiday season and her 30th birthday.

To mark the occasion, our very own Tay Tay did what she does best – gather the most star-studded crowd and bring in the festivities with a bit of panache.

Reese Witherspoon

Say ‘wreath’ Witherspoon this year!

Excuse the pun, but to be honest the idea is not ours, it’s Reese herself who came up with this. The American actor, who has in the recent times stirred waves with her commendable performance in shows like Big Little Lies and the Morning Show, seems to have got into the festive mood early. In a series of pictures, the 43-year-old shared a glimpse into the Southern-style Christmas and her favourite traditions of the year.

“Catch me in my stories! ☝🏼 I’m taking y’all on a hometown tour of some of my favorite spots in #Nashville,” she shared on Instagram.

Mariah Carey

Is it even Christmas without the OG festive messiah, Mariah Carey?

The songstress shared multiple posts on Instagram, revealing glimpses of the festive preparations as she gears up to celebrate the holidays with her fans, her children Moroccan Scott Cannon, Monroe Cannon, and her near and dear ones. And just in case you didn’t know, this year is extra special for the singer – her all-time hit All I Want For Christmas Is You is #1 on US charts again, 25 years after it first released.

Pooja Dhingra

Merry Macaron, anyone?

When celebrities across the globe have put their most stylish foot forward with the choicest of festive decorations, can Bollywood be far behind? In tune with the pomp and flair of Hollywood, Indian pastry chef and businesswoman Pooja Dhingra showcased a one-of-its-kind Christmas installation, featuring an ornate tree and two gigantic macarons. And it’s not difficult to see why she went for this unique combination – the owner of bakery chain Le15 Patisserie, is after all, the macaron specialist of India.
