Did the 2020 Grammys just snub South Korean band BTS? Here's everything you need to know

From Lizzo to Billie Eilish, here’s everyone who made the cut for the 62nd Grammys nominations.

It’s that time of the year again! Music industry’s biggest event – the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards – are upon us, and already there seems to have been a few snubs and surprises.

Known for acknowledging the best of best in music, the Grammys announced their elaborate list of nominations on Wednesday, stirring quite a furore for its unexpected shutout of South Korean boy band BTS.

While newcomers and first-time Grammy nominees like Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Lil Nas X led the nominations with maximum nods, artists such as Ariana Grande, Bon Iver, Lana Del Rey followed close behind. What came as a surprise, however, to most music fans across the globe was the oversight on part of Grammys, by shutting out BTS absolutely from the 2020 nominations’ list.

Check out some of the nominees from some of the popular categories below, or visit here for the full list. The 62nd Grammy Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
