SrushtiSoft’s Quick Quest powers institutions to create test within minutes. Examinater makes thesis submission easy
Technology can change the face of education in India. Over the past few years universities, colleges, coaching institutions have been leveraging technologies to make learning process interactive and fun driven. While our educational system is heading to embrace technology, we have less number of startups actually creating breakthrough at grass root level in the space. With intention to create difference in educational space SrushtiSoft has launched two products QuickQuest and Examinater. Lets have a look at these two products in detail:
Quick Quest: Quick Quest is an advanced software solution that assists educators in organizing a subject specific question-answer bank and generating question papers in a customizable format. A huge question bank can be created and maintained by the institution educators in the software. The questions could be textual, pictorial, mathematical & chemical equations and even include any Indian language (multilingual).
Quick Quest’s template mechanism helps to set question paper pattern in any possible format; it will then choose questions based on difficulty parameters, syllabus and other quality criteria to produce ‘complexity balanced question paper’. There are administrator, educator and data entry user login types that control user access rights and operational scope. The professors or teachers, who are enrolled under educator account type, can generate a unique question paper at a click on ‘Generate’ button after choosing their desired subject and question paper pattern template.
“The software solution is available for desktop, private LAN and even on cloud. Excluding private tutors, Quick Quest is serving 9 premium customers includes Indian Navy and central manufacturing technology institute (CMTI) in Bangalore for conducting written test for central government job interviews,” said Pavan Gayakwad, founder SrushtiSoft.
Examinater: A postgraduate student has to prepare and submit thesis based on the research work they conducted. The candidate shall submit 4 to 6 printed copies of the thesis through the help of the project guide. University then identifies external examiner isolating thesis guide and the student. University sends a copy of the thesis to each examiner for evaluation and recommends examiners to submit the Evaluation Report within a preferred period of time.
“There are chances that the external examiner may decline to evaluate thesis if the subject of thesis is other than their area of expertise. University has to manage nominating another examiner and initiate the evaluation process. If the thesis dissertation result is positive, the candidate is called for viva exam and viva report will be accepted by the university to announce the final result,” added Gayakwad.
Currently, considerable number of universities are still following traditional mode of communication (postal service) communication and collaboration. Examinater replaced traditional postal mail services for communications by emails, color coded thesis status tracking mechanism for quicker and accurate trace, and secured token based online marks submissions eliminate logistic problems and one click meaningful report generations accelerate whole thesis evaluation process. Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, which is one of the biggest technological universities in India is using Examinater and enjoying the benefits like smart use of financial resources, Operational flexibility with productivity and Faster execution.
The thesis dissertation end-to-end process normally takes 3 to 6 months; however Examinater reduced it to 15 days. The thesis evaluation process followed for M.Tech and PhD courses in different universities inside and outside India are pretty much similar, hence the adoption of Examinater by other universities is much easier.. Examinater presently processes 3500+ thesis every year, manage 10GB of data at server side, 15000+ emails exchange per year and 5000+ professors login every day.
