Healthtech startup Ayu Health raises $6.3M from Vertex Ventures, Stellaris VP

Bengaluru-based Ayu Health raised $6.3 million in Series A funding round from Singapore-headquartered Vertex Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners, which is based in Bengaluru.

The round also saw participation from serial entrepreneur and angel investor Ashish Gupta, Mamaearth's co-founder Varun Alagh, and Rajat Goel, Founder of Gurugram-based EyeQ Super Speciality Eye Hospitals.

Jobs platform apna enters unicorn club after raising $100M Series C round led by Tiger Global

Job and professional networking platform Apna.Co has secured close to $100 million in Series C funding led by Tiger Global. The round also saw participation from Owl Ventures, Insight Partners, Sequoia Capital India, Maverick Ventures, and GSV Ventures. With this round, Apna has attained a total valuation of $1.1 billion.

Why online extracurricular startup Kyt acquired Vimeo creator Zach Klien's DIY.org and rebranded itself

Extracurricular edtech startup KytTechnologies has acquired San Francisco-based DIY.org, and has merged operations of the two companies. Kyt has rebranded itself as DIY.org, which was built and operated by Zach Klein, also the Founder of Vimeo, and designed as a project-based learning platform for kids.


A company statement said DIY.org is the largest learning community for children to learn together and share their creations in an engaging, safe, and moderated environment.

Agritech startup BharatAgri raises $6.5M in Series A from Omnivore and India Quotient

Bangalore-based digital farm advisory startup BharatAgri on Thursday announced that it has raised $6.5 million in a Series A round led by Omnivore, with participation from existing investors India Quotient and 021 Capital. Founded in 2017 by IIT Madras alumni - Sai Gole(COO) and Siddharth Dialani(CEO), BharatAgri offers farmers an app-based platform for AI-based agronomy services on a paid subscription basis, which increases farm incomes through systematic implementation of scientific farming techniques.

Over 20M viewers in India streaming YouTube on TVs, consumption of Indic language content rises

More than 20 million people in India streamed YouTube on their TV screens in May this year - up 45 percent year-on-year - reflecting the increasing preference of users to tune into the platform from their living rooms, the video streaming company said.


The Google-owned platform also highlighted that a growing number of YouTube viewers prefer watching content in Indic languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and others.

Flatheads raises $1M in pre-Series A from We Founder Circle, Dexter Angels, others (Funding)

Bengaluru-based D2C online brand Flatheads has raised $1 million in pre-series A round led by startup investment platform We Founder Circle and angel network Dexter Angels. The round also witnessed participation from other investors including Gaurav Kapur (TV presenter and founder, Oaktree Sports), Sahil Barua (Co-founder, Delhivery) and Radhika Ghai (Co-founder, Shopclues).

Liquor startup Boutique Spirit Brands raises Rs 80Cr in equity, debt (Funding)

Liquor startup Boutique Spirit Brands on Thursday said it has raised Rs 80 crore in equity and debt funding from investors including IIFL, Anicut Angel Fund, Kae Capital, and TradeCred, among others.


Boutique Spirit Brands said it will use funds from the latest round to launch new products, scale up, expand its presence in retail stores, and service more customers across the country.

Ola Electric sells scooters worth over Rs 600 Cr on day one

The day one sale of Ola Electric scooters saw four scooters being sold in every second, clocking a total value of over Rs 600 crore on Wednesday.


Ola Electric had postponed the sale process of its electric scooter S1 and S1 Pro by a week to September 15 as it faced "technical difficulties" in making the website for purchases live for customers.

SaaS startup eShipz raises $700K led by IAN, Axilor (Funding)

eShipz, a SaaS-based startup offering shipping automation to SMBs and large enterprises, on Thursday said that it has raised $700,000 in a funding round led by Indian Angel Network. The round saw participation from existing investor, Axilor Ventures. The startup is incubated by Axilor, JioGenNext, SAP Startup Studio, and IIM-B NSRCEL.


The Bengaluru-based startup will utilise the funds to enhance its tech capabilities and build stronger teams.  

AI-powered SaaS company Bidgely raises $26M from Moore Strategic Ventures, others (Funding)

California and Bengaluru-based Bidgely on Thursday announced the closing of a $26 million round of strategic financing to bolster its UtilityAI™ platform deployed around the world. 


Led by Moore Strategic Ventures, the round was also joined by Accurant International, an investment venture of Bahman Hoveida, Co-founder and ex-CEO of Open Systems International.
