Freemont Partners having its headquarters in Mumbai is a global incubator & accelerator that provides seed capital funding to very early stage startups.Freemont Partners’ investments are in the range of INR 10-50 lakhs and in addition to the financial support, startups can avail of connections to global CXO mentors, global clients; and the vast experience of the management team.Freemont Partners has an INR 25 Crore fund which will be used to accelerate startups. “Not confined to any sector, we’ll be looking at various ideas that are innovative; leverage technology and which have global scale. The entrepreneurs’ ambition should be to create a world class idea.We’re planning to accelerate 10-15 startups in the coming year, and taking these companies global will help them unlock the maximum value for the created IP” says Vivek Mohan, the founder. Investing their own money, it is a validation for the entrepreneur as the investors are taking complete responsibility. The quicker investment decision process and the active engagement of the core team are two key aspects which the founders attribute to Freemont Partners.

Vivek Mohan has more than 25 years of experience in building successful international organizations across diverse industries and situations. He had built two companies in India and US. Having previously served as CEO of Alcatel Lucent in India and most recently as EVP of global services running a $5Bn telecom services business, Vivek brings experience in building world-class teams and scaling companies and any startup leveraging technology would be a good match for Freemont. “There are lots entrepreneurs starting up in India now and I felt the need for more support from early stage investors,” says Vivek. Vivek along with co-Founder Ronald D’Souza and Kevin Saldanhaform the core team at Freemont. Ronald has more than 25 years of cross-functional experience in Human Resources, Marketing and Business Development while Kevin, a Director at Freemont, brings 16 years of engineering management and entrepreneurial experience to the organization.
