Biosense launches uChek: Urine analysis using a smartphone
Biosense is a Mumbai based startup that works towards developing medical equipments. Founded by Myshkin Ingwale (a TED fellow), Biosense has been funded by GSF India and Insitor Fund. Biosense has been working in their second product uCheck and in a recent announcement, launched it officially. "The app has been launched after a lot of testing, both in-house and at IIT-Bombay," said Myshkin.
uCheck is a urine analyzer that let's an individual do this via a smartphone. The uChek system works with commercially available urinalysis reagent strips ("dipsticks"). A dipstick is a basic diagnostic tool used to determine pathological changes in a patient’s urine. Here is how it works:
