IBM Mentor Day - Applications are now open for innovative technology startups

The role of the corporate industry is often understated in the startup space, but any healthy startup ecosystem requires good participation from them. India’s startup ecosystem grows healthier with every passing day and IBM looks to keep it that way.

We at YourStory.in are proud to announce our partnership with IBM’s Global Entrepreneur  which is designed to help startups build business around the smarter planet market opportunity and to provide support and resources in the areas which the startups need the most. As a part of this, IBM is hosting an exclusive IBM Mentor Day program - to identify 15 high potential technology start-ups and to give them the benefit of coaching and mentorship from mentors, industry experts, IBM leaders, and successful entrepreneurs in their community.

The benefits for an entrepreneur by taking part in the IBM Global Entrepreneur are numerous. As a member, they can leverage Access to no-charge software, Support from IBM Relationship Managers, Mentoring through IBM Innovation Centers and Opportunity to participate in Global Entrepreneur networking events.

This year’s Mentor Day will be held in Bangalore on the 24th of July 2013 and IBM is looking for startups which have solutions in the areas of Analytics, BIG Data, Mobility, Cloud and Smarter Cities.

Criteria for Startups to be part of IBM Mentor Day

  1. The Startups should be less than 5 years into business, have a registered company and be ready to partner with IBM Global Entrepreneur program
  2. Should have a beta or GA product
  3. Unique value proposition for the solution with clear market potential
  4. Preferably, should have acquired clients or have strong pipeline
  5. Should be ready to work with IBM Technologies
