500 Startups is always a ball of energy when making announcements, be it be funding news or creating whacky identities. The Batch 6 of 500 startups had 5 Indian companies (more in this intervew with Pankaj Jain, 500 Startups Venture Partner) and all the 27 companies from across the globe pitched at the Demo Day- July 24th and 25th which was live streamed.
5 of the Indian companies that went through the acceleration pitched and here we present the slides they shared:
1) Credii: A powerful software selection tool. It automates the time and data-intensive process of shortlisting and selection that a business buyer goes through while sourcing software.The company has been founded by Vamshi Mokshagundam, Ayan Barua and Balachandar Ganesh. Pitch:
2) PriceBaba: It makes mobile phone shopping easy for users in India. PriceBaba is based on the basic finding that people research online but buy offline. The company has been founded by Annkur Agarwal (read their complete story). Pitch:
3) School Admissions: In the business of simplifying the 'school admission process' for parents in India. The company has been founded by the husband wife duo of Puja and Raj Arora. (read their complete story) Pitch:
4) Seat14a: A startup simplifying men's fashion. After a couple of pivots, this company from the house of Subtle Disruption has settled on a model wherein a trendy mens wear ensemble is up for sale each week. The company (registered in the Bay Area) is headed by CEO, Jas Banwait. (read more in this story) Pitch:
5) Tushky: It is a marketplace for real-world leisure activities which is open currently in a few cities in India. The company has been co-founded by Talvinder Singh, Kunal Sharma and Kranti Agarwal. Pitch:
