Saturday May 23, 2015 , 2 min Read

An idea is the first step towards innovation. To explore the viability of an idea and to create something meaningful from it, Workbench Projects is hosting Startup Weekend Women’s Edition, SHE Bangalore, on May 29 -31.

HerStory is the media partner of the event. SHE Bangalore will showcase the entrepreneurial talent of women in Bengaluru and to provide an opportunity for aspiring women entrepreneurs to network with like-minded people.

Traditionally a 54-hour event, SHE Bangalore will open with pitches on Friday and the next two days the team’s focus will be on customer development, validating their ideas, and building a minimal viable product. On Sunday evening, teams will demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts.

The list of speakers, judges, coaches, and mentors include Naveen Lakkur (Director of Founder Institute, Bangalore), Paul Belknap (Investment Manager at Villgro), Lalana Zaveri (Facilitator/Trainer at Navgati, Founder of Printo) and Chinmayi SK (Community Head of Random Hacks of Kindness and The Bachchao Project, Founder of Saakshin technologies) among others.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, a student, a housewife or even a CEO of a company, if you have the drive and passion to build something exciting this event is a perfect chance to exercise your entrepreneurial faculties.
