YourStory’s video team is looking for a Senior Video Producer who is passionate about video journalism and creative storytelling.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience who will work closely with the Brand Solutions & Editorial teams to create video content. The candidate should be a team player, a self-starter, and a disciplined worker.

Job Profile

Producing video content for digital media and social media platforms which include interviews, short documentaries, corporate videos, promos and Ads.

Anchoring video series, interviews and moderating panel discussions.

Scripting, storyboarding, budgeting, allocating resources, setting deadlines and selecting optimal forms of media for projects.

Plan video shoots - scout, select and reserve shoot locations and work as a location producer during video interviews and other important on-location shoots.

Work with the video editors on post-production and manage delivery.

They will also work closely with the Head of Design and Video Head to conceptualize visuals, style frames, and branding for large scale projects and series.

Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables.

Collaborate closely with the Brand Solutions and Editorial teams to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.

Work with the sales team to create “pitch” documents for clients/brands and be able to pitch creative ideas.

Candidates who are willing to apply must be based in Bangalore or be willing to relocate as they are required to come in to office everyday (5 days a week).

Mandatory Skillsets

Background in Broadcast Journalism or Mass Media (a minimum of a bachelor’s degree).

Some editing experience in Premiere Pro or any other editing suite.

A good eye for design, layout and detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English is a must.

Scriptwriting for video stories – documentaries, promos & corporate videos.

Understand video production landscape.

Ability to work hard, and experience in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment.
