Babyoye.com – An ecommerce Destination for New Parents

Friday November 19, 2010 , 2 min Read

Well, if you’re a busy first time parent or even a seasoned one seeking advice on what baby/mother care products to buy – Babyoye.com may be the solution you’re looking for. A subsidiary of Nest Childcare Services Pvt. Ltd, Babyoye.com is an ecommerce website for mother and baby products and services. And it offers free home delivery too (for orders above a certain amount of course).

It presently boasts of an assortment of over 1500 products across various categories like diapers, toys, baby food, clothing, toys, books, games etc and plans to expand this to about 20,000 by the end of 2011 and plans to invest somewhere between 3-4 crores in the next 2 years. Babyeoye.com also offers services such as experts to help parents with nurseries, celebrations etc.

According to Arunima Singhdeo, Co-founder and Director, the mother-care industry is currently worth around Rs.6,000 now and expected to almost double that value at Rs.11,000 crore by 2012. She also stated that parents are on the lookout for experts/information and specific branded products – all of which they are unlikely to find in neighbourhood/kirana stores. This is the need-gap she expects Babyoye.com to address.

Babyoye has tied up with brands like Avent, Barbie, Crocs, Farex, Funskool, Himalaya, Johnson & Johnson and 16 others. And just like anyone serious about doing business online they have Facebook and Twitter presence, through which it plans to generate traction by using contests.
