In the earlier 30 posts of PhotoSparks, we brought you creative photographs from an art fair, music festival, telecom expo, art museum, mobile showcase, math museum, social hackathon, bookstore, co-working space, sensorium, lantern festival, outdoor ads, startup roadshow, computer museum, startup T-shirts, business cards, Diwali rangoli, ecopreneurs and eNGOs. In this photo essay, we showcase the inspiring creativity of cancer survivors. Make YourStory’s PhotoSparks your regular source of photographs that celebrate creativity and innovation!

Many people are already planning for their year-end holidays, or rushing to meet 2014 targets. In many parts of the world, preparations are well under way for Christmas and New Year (and even Chinese New Year after that in East Asia)! But this is also a good time to reflect on our blessings, be thankful for what we have, and help those who are less fortunate than we are.

In this edition of PhotoSparks, we showcase the work of the Art from the Heart initiative in Singapore, to use creativity and art as therapeutic expression for cancer patients. In earlier articles, YourStory has also showcased entrepreneurs working to better the lives of the differently abled (eg. see write-up on the ‘Let Me Hear Again’ app for the deaf and mute, and Mathru Foundation for disabled children). As we come to the close of 2014, push as hard as you can to make your dreams come true – and those of others!
