With launches in major cities and active forums among their developer community and early adopters, Yu is running a marketing campaign #YUplaygod, hinting at the ability of the CyanogenMod based smartphone’s many features which include ability to root the phone without voiding the warranty, unlockable bootloader, and kernel source etc. At a recent meeting in Bangalore, Micromax Founder Rahul Sharma answered queries from the audience about launch date, price, features of the phone and also compared Yureka with the Redmi Note 4G and Vivo X5. After the event, attendees were given access to the Yureka devices to check out and test its features.

Selling through e-commerce portals, the new trend?

After the success of the Xiaomi-Flipkart partnership where smartphones sold like hot cakes within seconds, Yu is aiming for a similar game plan for the Yureka smartphone with Amazon.

What do you think of Yureka? We would love to hear from you.
