Accenture, OpenAI team up to accelerate enterprise AI with ChatGPT Enterprise and AgentKit
Consultancy to equip ‘tens of thousands’ with ChatGPT Enterprise; new flagship client programme targets agentic AI at the core of business operations
Accenture and OpenAI have announced a collaboration to help large enterprises bring agentic AI into everyday workflows, with Accenture set to equip “tens of thousands” of its professionals with ChatGPT Enterprise and upskill them through OpenAI Certifications.
OpenAI will be one of Accenture’s primary AI partners for its next generation of AI-powered services, and both companies will run a flagship programme to help clients scale AI across functions.
The tie-up will see Accenture embed OpenAI’s models and implementation playbooks across consulting, operations and delivery, and help joint clients adopt agentic AI faster—with early focus areas including customer service, supply chain, finance and HR. Accenture will also use OpenAI’s AgentKit to design, test and deploy custom AI agents for enterprise-grade workflows.
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, framed the move as part of the firm’s enterprise reinvention agenda.
OpenAI’s Applications chief Fidji Simo said in a post that the partnership aims to accelerate AI transformation at scale—she leads the Applications business while Sam Altman remains OpenAI’s CEO.
What will clients get from the AI programme?
The flagship initiative combines OpenAI’s enterprise products with Accenture’s AI expertise and domain knowledge, providing implementation playbooks, security and deployment guidance, and hands-on expertise to integrate AI into real business processes.
Clients can potentially expect agentic solutions tailored to core corporate functions, plus access to OpenAI Certifications to build verified AI fluency at scale.
Accenture’s India footprint—over 3 lakh employees out of a global workforce of around 7.7 lakh—means any such global AI upskilling and tooling push quickly touches Indian delivery centres and client programmes.
With the certification-led approach and ChatGPT Enterprise rollouts, the partnership could further accelerate AI adoption among Indian enterprises served by Accenture.
This OpenAI collaboration builds on Accenture’s recent moves to operationalise multi-agent systems and ecosystem partnerships.
In April, it introduced Trusted Agent Huddle to enable secure agent-to-agent interoperability across enterprise platforms; in October, Accenture and Google Cloud highlighted agentic solutions on Gemini Enterprise, with hundreds of agents available via Google Cloud Marketplace.
