AWS announces 40 startups for 2025 generative AI accelerator
The eight-week programme will provide participants with up to $1 million in AWS credits, technical and business mentorship, and access to AWS’s full suite of AI tools.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has revealed the 40 startups selected for the 2025 cohort of its Generative AI Accelerator, a programme designed to support early stage companies developing generative AI technologies.
The eight-week programme will provide participants with up to $1 million in AWS credits, technical and business mentorship, and access to AWS’s full suite of AI tools.
The selected companies come from regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific and Japan. Ten of the chosen startups are from the Asia Pacific and Japan region, with three Indian companies among them.
Tiffany Bloomquist, Head of Startups for Asia Pacific and Japan, noted that the region has become a hub for generative AI, with startups addressing complex local challenges that have global relevance.
Hyperbots focuses on financial services and offers an agentic AI platform that automates end-to-end finance processes. Smallest AI develops foundational Voice AI models to enhance enterprise contact centre communications, while Stimuler is a voice AI application aimed at helping non-native English speakers achieve fluency through speaking practice.
The programme also emphasises developing business and technical skills, including optimising machine learning performance and creating effective go-to-market strategies. Participants will conclude the programme in December at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, where they will present their solutions to potential investors, customers, and AWS executives.
Sherry Karamdashti, General Manager and Head of Startups in North America at AWS, highlighted the rapid pace of innovation in generative AI across industries such as biotechnology, creative studios, and industrial applications.
The accelerator will begin on October 13, 2025 at Amazon HQ1 in Seattle. It aims to provide early stage companies with access to technical resources and mentorship to help develop and expand their generative AI technologies.
