Meta appoints Arun Srinivas as MD and Head for India operations
In his new role, Srinivas will focus on integrating Meta’s business and revenue goals to better serve clients and partners, along with driving long-term growth in India.
Meta Platforms has appointed Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head of India Operations, effective July 1, 2025, the tech giant said on Sunday.
In his new role, Srinivas will focus on integrating Meta’s business and revenue goals to better serve clients and partners, along with driving long-term growth in India.

Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels, and Arun’s impressive track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships makes him the ideal leader to drive Meta’s continued investment in the country," said Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President (India and South East Asia), Meta, adding that Srinivas will work closely with him to scale Meta's business in India.
According to Meta, Srinivas will also be responsible for strengthening the company's relationships with brands, advertisers, developers, and partners to drive market growth in India.
The new appointment comes shortly after Meta decided to expand the role of Devanathan, its India Vice President, who now also oversees the company's operations in Southeast Asia.
Srinivas has nearly three decades of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles across companies such as , Reebok, Ola, and WestBridge Capital. He holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Kolkata.
He currently serves as Director and Head of Ads Business in India. Since joining Meta in 2020, he has played a crucial role in driving the company’s engagement with major advertisers and agency partners, particularly focusing on strategic revenue areas such as AI, Reels, and Messaging.
