Microsoft shared internal findings from Accenture’s rollout. About 97% of employees reported completing routine tasks faster with Copilot. Around 53% said their overall productivity improved. Usage levels were also high.
In one phase, monthly active usage reached 89%, and a majority of users said they would not want to lose access to Copilot. Accenture’s CIO Tony Leraris described it as a “personal digital colleague”, reflecting how deeply it is being integrated into daily work.
How employees are actually using Copilot
The use cases are practical and consistent. Employees are using Copilot in Outlook, Teams and Word to prepare for meetings, summarise conversations and draft documents. It is also being used to pull insights from internal systems like SharePoint and OneDrive.
For sales and client teams, Accenture has built additional tools on top of Copilot. Early comparisons suggest that these tools are helping generate more opportunities compared to traditional workflows.
A shift in how knowledge work happens
The biggest change is not in tools, but in how work gets done. Instead of searching through emails and documents, employees can ask Copilot to extract key points and suggest next steps. Analysts and marketers can check for consistency across materials without repeating manual reviews.
