Snowflake sets up Bengaluru hub, to hire 700+ in India
Snowflake has opened a new office in Bengaluru, expanding its India presence after Mumbai and targeting 700+ employees by 2025.
Snowflake, the cloud data platform company, has opened a new office at The Square on Vittal Mallya Road in Bengaluru on 25 August 2025, bolstering its presence in India following its earlier launch in Mumbai.
Bengaluru centre to support cloud data and AI work
As per media reports, the Bengaluru facility will serve as a central hub for Snowflake’s engineering, product development, and customer operations teams, catering to both internal projects and enterprise clients across India.
Snowflake plans to increase its India workforce to over 700 employees by the end of 2025, adding approximately 100 new hires across functions such as sales, operations, solutions engineering, and marketing.
The Bengaluru office is expected to play a pivotal role in facilitating this expansion, including training and onboarding new staff
Strategic focus on India’s growth and partnerships
Snowflake views India as a key strategic market, citing the country’s significant role in its Asia-Pacific (APJ) operations.
The Bengaluru office complements Snowflake’s Mumbai presence and will support improved customer engagement across India. The company also intends to establish a research and development (R&D) centre, likely supporting digital transformation initiatives and innovation within its India operations.
