Together Fund aims to speed up AI companies with India roots
Together Fund’s SwarmSpace is positioned as a practical, hands-on route for teams that want investment and infrastructure alongside peer networks and research support.
Together Fund has launched SwarmSpace, a new platform to help founders build AI-first companies "with India in their DNA". The initiative combines a community, an AI studio and a research lab to give early-stage teams practical support alongside funding.
“Founders don’t just need capital right now—they need community, context, and platforms to scale. SwarmSpace is designed to give them that edge,” said Together Fund co-founders and managing partners Girish Mathrubootham and Manav Garg.
The community side offers regular gatherings such as founder salons, roundtables focused on AI and demo days that allow teams to share progress and learn from peers.
The AI studio is a 12-week programme that includes upfront investment of up to $1 million, global mentors and opportunities to spend time in the United States.
The research lab will pursue frontier AI work that is aimed at solving real-world problems through hands-on projects and industry collaborations.
The studio will run cohorts from Together Fund offices in Bengaluru and Palo Alto. Selected teams can expect further resources in the form of credits from major AI providers.
Together Fund said partner credits may reach the order of $600,000 and will come from companies including Microsoft for Startups, Anthropic, Emergent, Google, and AWS. Workspaces will be available in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Palo Alto.
The programme is open to early-stage builders working on AI or deep technology with ambitions beyond India. That includes founders, researchers, engineers, open source contributors, independent makers and students.
Together Fund intends SwarmSpace to be suitable for teams tackling a wide range of AI challenges. Examples include foundational models, applications and agents, embodied systems, edge computing, AI infrastructure and projects that combine AI with hard sciences.
Startups chosen for the AI studio receive equity funding up to $1 million and a 12-week venture building programme with mentorship. In addition to the partner credits, teams gain access to office hours and networking opportunities in India and the Bay Area. Together Fund also runs a broader investment activity outside SwarmSpace and makes seed and Series A investments that typically range from $1 million to $10 million.
Together Fund frames the timing as an inflection point for AI. Frontier models and the infrastructure around them have made it cheaper to move from an idea to a prototype, which can speed up experimentation for founders. The new platform is presented as a way to help teams translate rapid technical progress into lasting companies.
Together Fund is an operator-led venture capital firm with offices in India and the United States. The firm has more than $200 million in assets under management and a portfolio that covers a number of AI and deeptech companies.
