Basic Information
GoCoop launched the online marketplace in 2014. It acts as a marketplace which connects artisans, weaver co-operatives and clusters directly with consumers across the world. It enables sustainable livelihoods for artisans by ensuring fair prices to them, and authentic handlooms and crafts to its customers. Its product line includes various kinds of sarees, bed linens, dhurries, cushion covers, men’s apparel (shirts, jackets, trousers etc.), women’s apparel (kurtis, tops, jackets, and blouses), shoes, juttis, bags, pouches, handwoven stoles, shawls, and home accessories. In May, GoCoop organised the ‘Go Swadeshi Online’ handloom exhibition in which it offered a variety of hand-spun, hand-woven and handcrafted products such as sarees, fabrics, dress materials, stoles, dupattas, menswear, bed linen, home decor and jewellery, from weavers and artisans across the country. It has organised 70 offline exhibitions in the last four years.
