Basic Information

Bangalore based Loopworm converts waste into protein, we farm insects on food waste to produce premium feed ingredient for aqua and poultry feed companies. The company uses BSF larvae to convert food waste into protein and thus close the circular loop using worms. These BSF larvae eat out 25% of the food waste fed to them and convert the rest into high quality manure that is estimated to contribute 30% to the company’s revenue. Some of their other products include ProtiWorm which is a feed for fisheries, LipidoWorm which is for poultry, Chitin, and FertiWorm which is ideal for crops.
