SoHHytec manufactures co-generation systems for the cost-effective onsite generation of renewable fuel (hydrogen + oxygen) and Power (electricity + heat) using innovative patented technology. The technology is based on our novel photoelectrochemical device working with concentrated solar irradiation. We use solar energy to split water and produce hydrogen, oxygen, electricity, and heat at the same time and on the same site. Our proprietary technology enables us to do this not only in a better but also in a cheaper way than any other competing technology. Our system caters to the needs of industrial (fertilizer, chemical, mobility, etc.), residential, space and farming sectors.
We are a startup based in the beautiful city of Lausanne, Switzerland and we come out of EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). Our product is based on the 6+ years of extensive research and development work performed and ongoing at the Laboratory of Renewable Energy Science and Engineering (LRESE) at EPFL. We have a highly competent and motivated founding as well as working team.
