The Escape Key is a premium escape room inspired by Newcastle's rich history.

Basic Information

The Escape Key is located above an ancient graveyard in the historic Gallowgate area of Newcastle. The Escape Key is unique as its escape games are inspired by the rich history of Newcastle. The Plague room takes people back to the 17th century when half the town's population died in the space of a few months. Witch brings to life the infamous witch trials of 1650. They challenge people to rescue an innocent victim and escape before the hangman arrives. Newcastle was the first city in the whole world to be lit by electricity and the escape room challenges people to save Joseph Swan's invention from an angry mob intent on its destruction. The Escape Key also has two historical-themed outdoor escape games - Rosie's Charm and Thirteen Ghosts.
