Unique Threat Sarees began its journey when Shanmuga Priya started selling sarees through WhatsApp groups in 2015. When Priya started on WhatsApp, it was mostly her friends and family who bought her sarees. As word spread, more and more women started buying sarees directly from her and selling it themselves. Six years since the inception of the Unique Threads has over 7000+ resellers in its network across the globe. They have expanded their offerings from a saree-only venture to one that now sells kurta/salwar (stitched and unstitched), accessorised fashion, family-matched clothing sets and more. The brand has also been able to provide meaningful employment to 100+ women entrepreneurs.
