Like all the young aspirants, Neeraj wanted to make it big in the dream city of Mumbai. After completing his graduation he bagged himself the post of an assistant director to Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and worked with ‘Rang de Basanti’ for a period of 6 months. After that he moved to Baroda and with a sound investment he laid the base for Ingen. His visions and paradigms have helped Ingen grow. Three years down the line he has prominent leaders and visionaries from Baroda and Ahmedabad, who are now added to his list of patrons.
When asked about the secret to their company growth, Neeraj shared, “His belief in his team and the dedicated team work has provided Ingen the leverage for a phenomenal growth even while recession was taking its toll in the country. For the client the value delivered to them is crucial and we worked on creating a better service model which had the mantra of cost cutting in it”. Neeraj plans to open two more branches i.e. in Ahmedabad and Toronto.
Although, Neeraj is deeply involved with his advertising firm, he has not given up on his love for films. In 2008, he launched ‘Hot Shorts’ – a short film festival which provides a platform for local talent to reach out at national level. Neeraj shared, “I started Hot Shorts with the objective of promoting budding film makers from Baroda. I successfully organised the inaugural film festival in Baroda. One of the films ‘Johnny Sharma’ that took part in the festival was also selected for Cannes film festival”. From all across India it was the only movie to have made it this big in the season and the film provided him a boost to his career in films. A more confident Neeraj plans to organise the short film festival for the second consecutive year, however, this time it’s projected to be on a larger scale. The participants are invited from all across Gujarat. Besides, he plans to organize a short film festival at the national level in future. He is also planning to open a production house to produce some good films in future.
Reciting about his achievements, Neeraj disclosed, “Two things, the first – Johnny Sharma when it got selected for the Cannes film festival and the second – the fame and popularity Ingen has gained in such a short span of time, have truly been awarding”. Neeraj has had a positive outlook while facing new challenges. He also exclaimed that the only reason he choose to be a businessman than opting for the regular job was because of the freedom he had to explore his creativity and talents. Neeraj regretted, on having started off three years late.
On the note, “Achieve and conquer all future endeavours”; You Story wishes Neeraj all the very best.
