Building on its rapid success as "America’s first student-run real estate brokerage" - CNBC, the Hodara Real Estate Group (HREG) has released their first three reality webisodes which features all five businesses owned by Alex Hodara and his colleagues. The series highlights the successes and struggles the young entrepreneurs go through during the recession. The show has already become popular through online marketing and has combined over 95,000 views.

“Making Moves” follows the dynamic daily lives of 22- year- old CEO Alex Hodara and the Hodara Real Estate Group management team as they continue to grow in the corporate world as young, successful entrepreneurs. The show has included a celebrity guest appearance by breakout rapper Sam Adams, as well as first-hand coverage of Hodara’s efforts to help redevelop Gulf Coast housing.

Founded by Alex Hodara in 2009 during his junior year at Boston University, the Hodara Real Estate Group began as a real estate brokerage specializing in property rentals and sales in college off-campus markets. Hodara was able to found the company entirely out-of-pocket, from money earned through past start-up projects, and posted revenues of over $100,000 in the first year alone.

“I wanted to form a company that would change the face of the real estate industry and also serve as an inspiration to young entrepreneurs everywhere,” said Hodara. “Making Moves will show how our team is able to have fun while being extremely successful and giving back to the community.”

A well-known entrepreneur in the Boston area, Alex Hodara has also received a great deal of worldwide attention through appearances on CNBC’s Street Signs and Fox Business Happy Hour.

HREG has conducted over $4 million in property sales to date, and has grown to include a total of four real estate companies: HREG, Hodara Real Estate Academy, Hodara Real Estate Development, and Hodara Property Management. The most recent addition to the Hodara group is RevelMe Records, a record label representing Boston-area singer and songwriter Daniel Revel Miller. HREG has also donated thousands of dollars to charities including One Year for Cancer and Habitat for Humanity.

Company History

Hodara Real Estate Group (HREG) is America's first student run real estate brokerage specializing in property rentals and sales in college off-campus markets. HREG has conducted over $4 million in property sales to date, and has grown to include a total of four real estate companies: HREG, Hodara Real Estate Academy, Hodara Real Estate Development, and Hodara Property Management. HREG has also donated thousands of dollars to charities including One Year for Cancer and Habitat for Humanity.

The company was completely student run and owned until the recent graduation of founder Alex Hodara and, co-owner of Hodara Real Estate Development and Hodara Property Management, Vincent Vomero from Boston University in May 2010.

Hodara Real Estate Group began shortly after founder Alex Hodara received his broker's license. He was able to pay for four other's real estate licenses and rented an office space in Allston, MA in December of 2008. Success was almost immediate and six months later, HREG expanded into a second office with eleven more agents.

HREG brokered its first million dollar investment in August of 2009. In this same month, Hodara Property Management and Hodara Real Estate Academy were established. The academy was established to give Boston-area residents the opportunity to earn their Massachusetts real estate salesperson license. In September 2009, HREG offices were moved from Allston to the current location in Boston. Here, the offices are more easily accessible to Boston University students, HREG's largest source of clients.

In March 2010, Hodara Property Development was formed and became the Northeast distributor of OceanSafe™ Steel Structural Insulated Panels. In an effort to increase sustainable building practices and reduce the environmental impact of building projects, the company works with local contractors, builders, and architects to coordinate the framing process for new constructions built using eco-friendly steel SIPs.

Revel Me Records was founded in 2010 and is the newest endeavor of the Hodara Group. The label focuses on new breakout singer and songwriter Daniel Revel Miller, a friend of Hodara’s since freshman year at Boston University.
