HolidayIQ merges with Singapore-based travel search engine Wego.com

Bangalore-based Leisure and Lifestyle Information Services, which owns travel content and community portal HolidayIQ.com has merged with Singapore-based travel search engine Wego.com. The combined entity has also closed a Series B funding round led by Tiger Global. 

Wego.com received its first round of funding from News Corp’s News Digital Media in 2007. The company was founded in 2005 by former executives from Intercontinental Hotels Group, Yahoo, Priceline and Zuji. HolidayIQ was founded by Hari Nair, a former partner of KPMG India, in 2004.
