Company Designed Application Layer for Fetch’s Industry-leading Automated Background Check Solution
Symphony Services, the leader in global software product engineering services, today announced it has created an application layer for Fetch Technologies’ background screening solution, which enables customers to automatically and instantly determine the presence of a job candidate’s criminal record. After a review of the major players in the engineering services industry, Fetch decided to partner with Symphony because of its long history of providing full product development lifecycle support including product strategy, software architecture, development, quality assurance services and system deployment and maintenance services.
Fetch began working with Symphony as a result of its acquisition of Core Objects. Symphony’s charter was to support the creation of a new solution to serve the specialized needs of the background screening sector. Today, Fetch’s background screening solution, Fetch for Background Checks, provides companies with automated access to more than 300 online criminal background libraries and over 1,500 online jurisdictions around the country. Symphony, Fetch and SJV & Associates are now developing the next generation of that solution, which will enable automated full extraction of criminal records.
“Fetch offers the industry’s most scalable and reliable solutions to deliver Web data,” said Timo Kissel, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations, Fetch. “Our customers benefit from our horizontal technology approach, which provides them with added leverage in a variety of markets. Our work with Symphony will enable us to deliver even more tailored and efficient data access to our clients in the employment screening industry.”
Fetch has been a primary service provider to the background screening industry since 2005. Today, the company processes billions of data points annually.
“In partnering with Fetch, Symphony is building on its already strong expertise in developing Web-based solutions through our product development lifecycle services for leading software customers,” said Sanjay Dhawan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Symphony Services. “We’re eager to grow our relationship with Fetch and support the company as the dominant player in the market.”
