MeraEvents.com, a web based, one-point source for the events and trade fair industry, has announced that it is slashing its payment gateway fee from 4.9 percent to 2.5 percent. This is the lowest payment gateway fee in the market offered by any event portal, claims MeraEvents’.MeraEvents is witnessing more than 200% growth YOY; more than 1000+ new events are added every month. According to their contact person, “The MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) Industry is still not organized sector and not even 20% of the events are online now so we feel there is a huge scope for this industry to be online.”
Being a major player in the industry India allows MeraEvents’ to make this drastic slash. Talking about the reduction, Naidu Darapaneni, CEO of MeraEvents said, “We believe that technology can help event organizers in many ways. So, our motive in slashing the price is to encourage many more event organizers to use the tools and technology we offer to increase the success rate of their event.”
This offer from the company will not only encourage more organizers to use the MeraEvents platform with its existing, but in a broader sense, it will also encourage more use of internet in the event industry. MeraEvents is revamping the UI completely which would be releases in the coming 2-3 months alongside expanding with sales offices in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi-NCR and Chennai. Mobile apps across platforms are also in the pipeline.
